Defense\Prosecution - Dominick Scialabba
As you can see ladies and gentleman of the jury sitting in front of you is a man convected for murder. This man is one of the most viable and putrid people i have ever met and for us to just let him go is preposterous. He is diagnosed with a disease that makes him like a monster. He has no control over himself as was displayed in the murder of Sir Danvers Carew! People of the jury hear me out and do the right thing, put this Monster to jail!

Character/Theme- Dominick Scialabba
The character that i am most drawn to would be Mr. Hyde. I think Mr. Hyde single handedly bring a different type of presence to the story of Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde. He is such a mysterious and unruly character that just always bring a thought in my head that says "What is going to happen now," every time he is even mentioned in the story. Mr. Hyde also helps a theme in the story. He helps the theme of Good and Evil. He shows how evil can walk the border of good and evil and cause chaos on all good. For example, Mr. Hyde can interact with of people (the good) like the little girl in the first chapter and completely alter there lives. This may not be one of the most powerful examples but i think it really shows how Mr. Hyde impacts the story and helps the theme.

The story of the door-Dominick Scialabba
In the chapter the story of the door there where many moments that caught my eye. The whole chapter was filled with suspicion and excitement. It also brought a surprising theme to my mind. let me explain myself.
My favorite moment in this chapter is Mr. Enfield's story. This story raised suspicion in my mind. It made me start thinking of what type of person Mr. Hyde is. At the end of this chapter when Mr. Enfield goes to the bank and says "I know this person on the check and that is not that person." Then the banker says it doesn't matter. Then Mr. Utterson says to Mr. Enfield don't tell him who is was. This led me to connect that Mr. Hyde is connected to Dr. Jekyll because i think that is who's name is on the check.
This part of the chapter led me to believe the theme of the story is Mr. Utterson's quest to find out who Mr. Hyde really is. I get this from after the story when Mr. Utterson goes into his safe and pulls out the Dr. Jekyll's will. It said that after 3 months of Mr. Utterson Missing to give his money to Mr. Hyde. This then later led Mr. Utterson to investigate this predicament. That is how i got the theme for this story.
I read about the multiple personality disorder, and from what i read i really cannot make a connection to the story yet for multiple reasons. One of them being that the story has not proven yet that there is even a case of multiple personality disorder in one of the characters. That is the main reason for me not being able to make a connection to the story from the article. i think as the story progresses i will be able to make vivid connections to the story. This is why i can not make a connection.

Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde Multiple Personality Disorder-Dominick Scialabba
In this article I learned about Dissociative Identity Disorder or Multiple Personality Disorder. In this article it talked about how MPD may be a result of being around someone with the disorder and seeing them or experiencing with them a traumatic experience. Secondly the article talked about if the disease was real or not. It is. The article also talked about some of the symptoms that range from depression to eating disorders. Now to the central point of the article. I think the central point of the article would be the symptoms. After the first page the article goes on and on about all the different symptoms. On the first page it also stated that although there are numerous symptoms it is very hard to tell that someone has MPD. It is even hard for highly trained professionals to diagnose the disease. This is why I think symptoms are the central point of the story. My reaction to this article was very subtle to say the least. Although I did learn new information I did not have a dramatic reaction. This article has changed the way I look at this story now. I wonder if the story will start off with a traumatic experience since the article stated the disease is caused by traumatic experience or being around someone with the disease. Which brings me to another possibility. Maybe the story will start off by having the main character being around a friend or a family member that has MPD. That is my reaction to the story.
